Just a prime choice for one night in Kalkaska with real value for money. The breakfast selection was surprisingly fresh, especially the fruit. Check if the back entrance is locked before using it.

Clean rooms, great breakfast selection, and the golf course nearby was a nice touch. The bed linens felt outdated. No elevator made it tricky with luggage.

missingWrote a review on Jul 23comfortable bedhelpful staffpoor cleanlinesscold breakfastdated decor
Despite some challenges, the bed was remarkably comfortable, providing a cozy night for rest. The staff exhibited kindness and attentiveness, offering helpful recommendations for nearby dining options. However, the cleanliness fell short, with noticeable stains on the hallway carpets and cold breakfast items that detracted from the overall experience. A more thorough housekeeping approach would greatly enhance future visits.

missingWrote a review on Jul 15worn mattresses
The mattresses feel worn-out and need replacement. a better night's sleep would be welcome. Additionally, a late-night pool rule that restricts minors after 9 PM seemed a bit much, given the pool stays open until 11 PM. It would have been helpful to be informed about these restrictions ahead of time.

Kalkaska's culinary scene is where it's at! Snagged some fresh local fish that was to die for. Also, the breakfast bar was nice and the folks serving there were great—definitely get the biscuits and gravy!
The beds needed an upgrade. a little too worn for my taste. Also, my room was near a back entrance that didn’t seem secure, which left me feeling a bit uneasy.
